Mole check and skin cancer screening
Skin cancer screening starts with a thorough mole check: a full-body examination with the dermatoscope takes twenty minutes and is the most effective way to find a melanoma early – before it becomes dangerous. We assess moles and other conspicuous skin changes systematically and say openly when a closer look is needed.

03Frequently asked questions about mole checks
Is the screening covered by health insurance?
Only with a family history of melanoma does basic insurance cover the check without a specific suspicion; if a skin change looks suspicious, the assessment is always covered by basic health insurance (OKP). Without a risk factor or suspicion, a screening on its own is paid privately.
How often should I have my moles checked?
Depending on your individual risk, we recommend a check every one to two years.
Does the examination hurt?
No, the full-body examination is painless and non-invasive.
Book a consultation or a skin check – you will receive a clear assessment and, if needed, a plan for the next steps.
