Melasma
Melasma is different from ordinary pigment spots: it sits deeper in the skin, reacts to hormones and sunlight, and the wrong treatment can make it worse rather than better. That is exactly why every melasma treatment with us starts with a precise diagnosis, not with the laser.
01In detail
We combine medical brightening therapy, individually tailored skincare with Universkin and – where suitable – conservative laser procedures. With a gentle laser treatment we bring back your skin’s radiance, precisely and with respect for your form of melasma.
02What we treat
- Differential diagnosis: melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or sun spots
- Medical brightening therapy and personalised skincare (Universkin)
- Conservative, specialist-led laser use, only where indicated
- Consistent sun protection as a fixed part of the treatment
03Frequently asked questions about melasma
Is the treatment covered by health insurance?
Melasma is usually considered an aesthetic indication and is therefore generally paid privately; if there is a medical cause, we clarify the costs individually.
How many sessions are needed?
We plan this according to severity and skin type – usually several sessions a few weeks apart are needed.
Will the melasma come back?
Melasma tends to recur, especially with UV exposure – consistent sun protection is therefore part of every treatment.
